As you may already know, Texas is a great place for fun and exciting events. If you’re thinking of relocating to the Lone Star State, you’ll soon see just how many great activities Texas has to offer! The next big event on the calendar is the Warrior Dash East Texas, an epic 5k race to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The race will be held March 17, 2012 and will kick off at Creekside Edge Off-Road Park in Splendora, Texas. Competitors will run in waves, with the first wave of warriors starting at 9:00 am.
This race is not like your ordinary 5k. Warriors take on intense obstacles as they tackle some of the most demanding and unique terrain in the area. Ram your way through a rubber jungle, stampede through a scrapyard of old car wreckage, scramble through the mud and celebrate your victory with free food and beer in this one-of-a-kind endurance trial.
