Dallas is a thriving metropolis of business, entertainment and education. But – not everyone want to live in the midst of the hustle and bustle of “Big D.” Many Texans who reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex choose to put down roots in one of Dallas’ outlying suburbs. If you’re thinking of doing the same, be sure to do some research on a little town called Lewisville.
I suppose we shouldn’t really call Lewisville a “little” town. After all, it is home to well over 95,000 residents and is considered to be one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. in terms of population. So what draws so many folks to Lewisville? Several reasons. The first being its close proximity to Dallas and all the attractions the big city has to offer. Secondly, Lewisville’s favorable climate and adjacent Lewisville Lake provide ample recreational opportunities.
Speaking of recreation, golfers are sure to enjoy life in Lewisville, as it is a major hub of the Northern Golf Corridor of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. If sports aren’t your thing, not to worry. Lewisville also offers a variety of artistic and cultural attractions. Check out the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theatre (or MLC Grand, for short) to see a play, or visit one of Lewisville’s 250+ restaurants.
